Polaroid Eyewear.

To find the perfect sunglasses has always been a difficult task to me. Cheap sunglasses from the supermarket tend to be poor manufactured, they break very easyly and the fitting is horrible. But what can you get instead of the cheap beach best sellers or an expensive Ray Ban? I found an answere in an articel of the Oneupmanship Journal, where a pair of Polaroid Sunglasses were featured and they looked really cool. So i was somehow inspired and decided to search a pair of my own and i found a nice pair on the bay. They look really special, i like the colour, the mix of black and brown with that nice white pinstripe. It has something vintage or even mod and seems to be more stable than the crap from the supermarket. The frame was manufactured in italy, the glasses are a product of polaroid USA. So i hope they will last longer than my last pair of sunglasses...

SL72.

This pair of Adidas just made their way to my home. It`s the SL72 from the Adidas Originals Collection in my favorite colour sheme. Looks very old school and i`am happy that i got them nearly brand new and for a bargain price from the german bay. I expected them to become a little more expensive, because Adidas loving chaps won`t miss such an opportunity! SL72s became my favorite model, i just love the shape and that old school flair and i think i will get a white pair too in the near future..

Weekend Service Channel

Alright, i`ve just opend my own youtube channel. Youtube is not only for retarded teenagers loading up a lot of crap, like "what tommy did last night" and "look at that amazing accident", no it`s also a treasure trove for music loving people, searching for the rare and lovely tunes. And that`s where the Weekend Service Channel comes into play. That`s the place where i will present the finest early reggae and northern soul tunes from time to time. Stone Island Multipocket Spring/Summer 2009.

That`s what i really like about Stone Island jackets. The technical, non average look that makes them so special. This piece from Summer 09 came in different colours but i think grey fits perfect to that technical style of the multipocket. It`s made out of cotton and polyurethane. This mix makes the jacket really feel durable and special. It`s also a real lightweight jacket, even when it looks heavy with all that pockets. A perfect non average summer jacket, for those who like the special look of a unique Stone Island piece.

Club Heritage.

Die beiden Aufsteiger St. Pauli und Kaiserslautern haben eins gemeinsam. Den kleinen deutschen Ausrüster DOYOUFOOTBALL. Diese kleine Marke hat schon in der Vergangenheit entweder Begeisterungsstürme oder Kopfschütteln verursacht (jüngstes Beispiel: Bochum Away 2009/2010). Die Designs dieser kleinen Firma liegen immer irgendwo zwischen Genie und Wahnsinn, aber niemals langweilig, immer kontrovers. So auch dieses Jahr, wo sie meines erachtens mal wieder saubere Arbeit abgeliefert haben. Ganz besonders im Fall FC St. Pauli, die es im Jubiläumsjahr geschafft haben in die höchste deutsche Spielklasse aufzusteigen und dafür haben sie von DYF ein verdammt schönes Trikot bekommen, das sicherlich im teilweise langweilig gewordenen Trikotgeschäft herausstechen wird. Bleibt nur zu hoffen das der Klub vom Millerntor nicht in Schönheit sterben muss und den Gang in Liga 2 antreten muss. Dieses Trikot hat einen ganz besonderen Clou. Die eine Seite des Heimtrikots ist ganz in Kupfer gehalten, doch wenn man das Trikot wendet, erscheint eine aufwendig gestaltete Seite mit Motiven vom Kiez, dem Verein und Legenden. Diese Seite des Trikots soll sicherlich beim Stadtderby gegen den Hamburger SV getragen werden. Ich glaube ich werde mir mit Sicherheit eines dieser Schmuckstücke besorgen müssen..
Auch Kaiserslautern hat diesmal ein wirlich schönes Stück geliefert bekommen. Das Logo ganz im Retrolook gehalten, wird dieser Eindruck durch den etwas "angestaubt" wirkenden Sponsor komplettiert. Eine echte Abwechslung und Wohltat in einer .com diktierten modernen Fussballwelt. Ein echter Klassiker für die Fans!

I found a nice article about the future of CP Company on the Style Salvage Blog. It`s worth a read and raises some hope for the upcoming 2011 summer season. Looks like the new owners really go back to the heart of CP and respect the heritage of of this famous iconic casual brand.
